Contest “I`m European”

Dalgopol Municipality in Partnership with the Municipality of Aksakovo (Bulgaria), Municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), Municipality of Osilo (Italy), Municipality of Nova Gorica (Slovenia), and civil-society organization Bio Network Association organized a contest titled “I`m European!” for:

  • Writing
  • Drawing
  • Photo
  • Clip

The contest is organized within the framework of project “European Future is our future”, co-financed by  program “Europe for Citizens” of the European Union.

The contest “I`m European” aims to fostering a sense of  belonging to Europe, increase understanding of the benefits of the European Union, intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding, raising the European spirit, thinking about Future of Europe.

Start of the contest: 1.10.2019

End of the contest: 31.05.2020

 

Contest Regulations  category “Writing”

The writing works could be essay, poetry, prose

1. Right Of Participation

Right of participation will have European citizens between 14 and 20 years of age.

  • between 7 and 13 years
  • between 14 and 20 years
  • between 21 and 29 years.

Individuals below 18 years of age can take part with the consent of their parents or legal representatives.

2. Topic

The contest for writing works “I`m European” is related to direction Democratic engagement and civic participation in program "Europe for Citizens" . the program “Europe for Citizens” for the period 2014-2020 is an important tool which aims the 500 million residents of the Union to receive a more active role in the development of the Union. Through financing schemes and activities where the citizens can take part, the program promotes common history and shared values of Europe and promotes the sense of engagement with regards to Union’s development, raising the European spirit and belonging to EU .

3. Conditions For Participation

  1. The writing works shall be written in one of the following languages, Bulgarian, Italian,  Portuguese, Slovenian or English.
  2. The essays shall contain up to 300 words.
  3. The poetries shall be up to 1 page /1800 symbols with spaces/.
  4. The proses shall be up to 5 page /1 page included 1800 symbols with spaces/.
  5. The writing works have to contain the 4 key words of 6 words: Europe, future, European, spirit, belong, believe .
  6. The participant in the competition shall guarantee that he/she holds copyrights and the rights of publishing of the essay he/she participates with as well as that releases the organizers of all claims by third parties related to use of the piece for publishing of materials related to the activity of the European Commission.
  7. The participant in the competition grants to the European Commission the rights for publishing materials related to the activity of the European Commission.
  8. Organizers preserve the right not to allow participation in the competition of writing category written illegible, that do not comply with the topic of the competition or contradict the general moral norms.

4. Criteria For Assessment By The Jury

  • observed requirements for the assignment (length, key words);
  • creativity and originality of the essay;
  • clearance of message
  • completion of the opinion

5. Rounds of Assessment

5.1 National round – Each project partner arrange internal round of assessment. The first 3 works will take part in  the international round. The works have to translate into English.

5.2 Transnational round – It will be carried out during the fourth meeting “’I`m European” , 30 September- 2 October  2020 in Nova Goriza

  3.   4. The participant in the competition grants to the European Commission the rights for publishing materials related to the activity of the European Commission.
  5. Organizers preserve the right not to allow participation in the contest of drawings written illegible, that do not comply with the topic of the contest or contradict the general moral norms.

  1. Requirements for images: not less than 800KB and not higher than 5MB. JPEG or TIFF format; RGB color model; All participants must be able to provide image resolution suitable for printing exhibitions and information materials.

  2. The participant in the competition shall guarantee that he/she holds copyrights and the rights of publishing of the clip he/she participates with as well as that releases the organizers of all claims by third parties related to use of the piece for publishing of materials related to the activity of the European Commission.
  3. The participant in the competition grants to the European Commission the rights for publishing materials related to the activity of the European Commission.
  4. Organizers preserve the right not to allow participation in the competition of clip written illegible, that do not comply with the topic of the competition or contradict the general moral norms.

Works for the contest shall be submitted accompanied by completed and signed Application Form for participation electronically at address: contest@europeinfuture.eu

 

The first prize of each category /except 7-13 years old/ will be a visit in another country.

The first prize for the age category 7-13 years old will be a tablet.

 

The deadline of the contest was extended. The new deadline is 31 July 2021.

The prize for the first place was changed. The new prize is a scooter.
